The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night Time by Mark Haddon

Very interesting book.. Good reference for teachers and those who aspire to be one.. The main character is Christopher Boone, who is an autistic child.. His love for animals and also Sherlock Holmes triggered his curiousity and enthusiasm to find out the killer of Wellington, his neighbour's dog.. the whole story is told in his perspective and has cute little diagrams, which makes it more appealing..

A successful lawyer, Samantha Sweeting, could solve the most difficult case in court but to ask her to iron a shirt or sew on a button would be asking too much from her.. Samantha, who has never made a mistake in her entire career, lands herself in a HUGE mistake that could ruin her life.. so what did she do? she got on a train and dropped off in the middle of nowhere.. feeling lost, she approached a big house to ask for directions..

Apparently, she was mistaken for the candidate who had applied for the housekeeper vacancy.. disaster after disaster happened and read how Samantha managed to wriggle out of every single one.. a wonderful book to read if ur feeling down or bored..

Overall rating: 4.5 out of 5 (i think out of all her books, i still like Can You Keep a Secret? better.. i would give that one 5 outta 5!)

Childhood Interrupted by Kathleen O' Malley

An autobiography of written by one of the survivors of the Sisters of Mercy abuse.. I think this book is a disappointment to me.. call me sadistic but i just can't feel the hurt, pain and anger of the writer whilst reading the book.. and i'm not sure if everything is actually reflected in here..

There's a movie based on the cruel regime of Sisters of Mercy as well.. check it out if u haf time.. i think it's gonna be loads better than the book.. it's called "The Magdalene Sisters".. tho i'm not sure if u can actually find a copy in Singapore..

last update, my dad's warded again.. doctor says he's got a weak heart.. and his blood is quite thick that even if u take a blood sample of him and put it in a test tube, the blood cannot be shaken.. errrr.. ok nvm if u can't get the picture..
